Hackney Style in the West

Hello Londoners,

This is me today.. with a folded ponytail, yes! A very East-London “Hackney” style (and perhaps one of the few features which is also seen in the west). I like to be a little alternative and original sometimes. I have to say though, homeless “stick-out” bears (like the ones you see in H&M ads) are a big no no, east or west – come on guys, you know the drill, trim, thin and shape (and for gods sake cut off anything that sticks out more than 5mm); but other little style details can become trendy (especially when they make their way on TV – see Proudlock from Made In Chelsea) and then they suddenly become all-right in every London district. I have attempted this look today, just at the gym to test the waters but I’ll definitely do it again! To finish the day, I went to my usual coffee shop in Piccadilly Circus. What about you now, which looks have you seen going from alternative to trendy?
